Introducing my very own Carbon Fiber Hood Struts for the DC5 Integra and Acura RSX.
(They may work on other cars depending on hood hinge and fender hole locations)
With these hood struts you can finally eliminate the factory hood prop. With that out of the way, you will have more room to work on the engine bay and it looks great as well.
Just pop the hood latch and lightly raise the hood and watch it rise on its own to the perfect opened position.
Disclaimer- I now offer both full pressure struts for metal hoods and half pressure struts for carbon fiber or fiberglass hoods. Please be sure to select your desired struts for your vehicle before ordering.
OEM hood hinge bolts are recommended to be used to reduce the risk of the hardware spinning/slipping.
The full pressure hood struts are NOT recommended to be installed with carbon fiber or fiberglass fenders since the lower mounting point is on the OEM fenders. Some people have moved the lower mounting point to the radiator support to avoid any issues.
Half pressure hood struts can be used on metal hoods.
